About your coach

Shamaira Gonzalez

Certified Personal Trainer · Competitive Strongwoman · Mom of Three

I found strongman through CrossFit, and I signed up for my first show mostly to see whether I could do it. I fell in love with it almost immediately. There is something honest about the sport. A stone weighs what it weighs. A yoke does not care how your week went. You either move it or you don't.

I'm a mom of three daughters. That's the part people tend to hear last, and it's the part that actually explains the rest. I wanted my girls to grow up watching a woman pick up something heavy and refuse to put it down — to understand that strength comes in more than one form, and that persistence is something you can see, not just something people say.

That's what I bring to coaching. I don't hand you a program I've never run myself.

Why It Matters For You

Competing taught me things I couldn't keep to myself. Every program I write and every session I coach comes out of a decade of learning what actually moves the needle — progressive overload, consistency, and training that respects where your body is right now. Whether you're pregnant, postpartum, brand new to lifting, or chasing a number you've never hit, the principles are the same. I just adjust the application.
